O.C Hear It! is an optical character recognition app, built to help the visually impaired, blind, dyslexic or those with reading difficulties, but has features anyone may find useful. O.C Hear It! aims to help make the lives of those with visual impairments easier giving them a quick and easy why to access and hear printed material without needed a bulky device or internet connection.
What it can do.
Read your print documents.
- Reads your printed material to you.
- Works without a internet connection.
- Works with a large number of font and print types.
- Can use devices built in voice options giving you a selection of voices to choose from.
Read your digital documents
- Can read most digital documents formats
- You can share the document directly to O.C Hear It! making it more convenient and easier to access.
- Works to extract text within images.
Library functionality
- Using the Library function you can save the text being read to you for later listening
- Save long documents for later listening
- Library will save your listening spot to pick back up where you last left off
Broad support
- OC Hear It! currently works in all latin based languages.
- Now works with HINDI!! and other devanagari based languages.
Easy text extraction
- You can easily extract text using O.C Hear It!
- Copy all text capatured with the copy botton during playback.
- Select only the text you need from what was detected.
Translator (Experimental)
- New translate function currently (experimental only)
- This function is still new and in beta form can be turned on from within the settings page.
